Privacy Policy

Safey (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a private vault for your passwords, cards, notes, files and photos, published by Khatib Designs. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have — we built Safey to keep your personal information private, and this policy reflects that.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information: the email address you use to create an account, and an optional display name and profile photo.
  • Your vault content: the passwords, payment cards, secure notes, files, and photos/videos you choose to store. Sensitive fields — passwords, card numbers, CVCs, PINs and note contents — are encrypted on your device with AES‑256 before they are uploaded. We cannot read them.
  • Device & usage data: basic diagnostic and usage analytics, and a push‑notification token, used to operate and improve the app.
  • Purchase data: if you subscribe, your subscription status (not your payment details, which are handled by Apple).

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the core service: storing, syncing and restoring your vault across your devices.
  • To authenticate you and secure your account.
  • To manage subscriptions and unlock additional storage.
  • To maintain, troubleshoot and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your vault content for advertising.

3. How your data is stored & secured

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage) on our behalf. Sensitive fields are encrypted on your device before upload using a key held in your device’s Keychain, which never leaves your device. Access is restricted so that a signed‑in user can only read and write their own data.

4. Third‑party services

  • Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, analytics and push messaging. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlements.
  • Apple — processes in‑app purchases and subscriptions; we never receive your payment card details.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, which removes your account and associated data. You may also contact us to request deletion.

6. Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

7. Children

Safey is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
